Watford to Rickmansworth Branch Line
When we were exploring the Watford to Croxley Green branch line two weeks ago, we noticed on one of the maps what looked like another abandoned line just to the south:
It turns out that this was a branch line that ran from the line we had previously explored, towards Rickmansworth. The station "Rickmansworth Church Street" opened in 1862, and services kept going for 90 years. By this time the Metropolitan line provided a similar service so in 1952 the line was closed.
In the afternoon of the 4th June 2006, Max, Ben and I set out to see what we could find of the old line.
