This poor shoot was growing straight upwards, looking for light. It probably would have been carried in here as a seed on a previous explorer's boot. We tried to move it so we could take it to daylight, but it wouldn't budge.
Max on the crawl out.
Back at the car after over ten hours underground. We were so exhausted and aching after such a big explore that we decided to abandon the idea of sleeping it the mine, and instead headed home to our nice warm beds. Underground camping would have to wait for another day.
