Part 2 - Brown's Folly Mine

Next stop was Brown's Folly Mine, in Monkton Farleigh, Wiltshire.

Clapham Junction.

Heading into an area that was used as an air raid shelter in WWII.

This was used as a cage for ferrets which would have been used to control the rat population in the mine.

 

Having lunch in a 'Breakfast Hole', an area of the mine where the miners would have eaten.

 

Heading back out of the air raid shelter area.
