Box Freestone Quarry

Part 5

The boys at a railway junction.

Squeezing through a major fall.

This tank would have used to fill the steam engine that hauled the stone out in latter years.

It had filled with drips from the ceiling. That's a lot of drips!

Heading back to the entrance.

Max about to squeeze through a small gap.

Ben negotiates a crawl through some fallen rocks.

The tightest squeeze we had to do.

Another person from our party finds his way through.

Max and I on the final stretch.

Crawling back to the entrance.

Daylight again.

Happy after a fantastic explore.

Waiting for everyone to emerge.

Tired, with helmet-hair, but very, very happy.

I had wanted to do Box Quarry for many years, and to have the opportunity was just fantastic. I am forever indebted to the great people from Darkplaces who led us around - thanks guys.
